Dear Neighborhood Watch members,

Yesterday morning deputies caught a burglar that was armed with a knife. He had entered a home and was trying to enter a 2nd home when deputies were alerted. The details of the crime and his effort to escape are located on the Pinellas County Sheriff’s web site, www.pcsoweb.com.

The suspect is a 20 year old white male who is homeless. He has been living in the woods near the Pinellas Trail, just south of Klosterman Rd. He admitted to committing other burglaries in Crystal Beach, Palm Harbor, the city of Tarpon Springs and Pasco County. His mode of transportation was a bicycle to these crime scenes.

This burglar preferred doing daytime burglaries and had an un-kept appearance. He should have appeared suspicious in any neighborhood. If you feel you may have been a victim or have questions, please contact Detective Sokolowski (582-6900) or I.
